• Fluid Leaks: Refrigerant leaks when the compressor has put too much pressure onto the refrigerant. This could mean that the bearings are worn out and you need to replace the compressor.

Air filtration is a key part of keeping your engine for longer. Symptoms of dirty air filters are...

• Dirty Filter: As dirt accumulates in your air filter it will turn darker.  If you see that your filter is dark, you need to replace it.
• Check Engine Light: The check engine light comes on for many different reasons, and sometimes it is due to the air filter. If there isn’t enough air, carbon can build up and trigger the warning light. 
• Lower Horsepower: Vehicles need air to turn on the engine. If the engine jerks, it might mean that the air filter needs to be changed.
• Smoke Leaving The Exhaust Pipe: Fuel needs oxygen to burn, if there is a lack of oxygen it will not burn. If you hear popping sounds or flames at the tailpipe, come to us immediately as this could be very hazardous.
• The smell of Gas When the Engine Starts: When starting a vehicle if you smell gas the air filter needs to be replaced. Fuel that is not burned from the lack of air will get out through the tailpipe giving that smell.

Car batteries are one of the most important parts of a car. Car batteries need replacement every couple of years including some special occasions.

• Slow Engine Crank: When starting a vehicle.
•  The check engine light sometimes appears with a weak battery.
• Low Battery Fluid Level: If the fluid level is below the energy conductor inside, it’s time to have the battery and charging system tested.
• Swelling or Bloating Battery Case: A bloating battery can cause the battery to be weaker.
• Battery Leak: Leaking causes corrosion around the posts, which will most likely need to be removed in order to let the car start.
• Old Age: Batteries get worse over time. As you reach the three-year mark of your car battery have yearly checks on it.

 Brakes are one of your vehicle’s biggest safety components:

• A squealing or squeaking sound

Flashing Check Engine Light

If your check engine light is flashing, this indicates a serious problem–such as a cylinder misfire. This could lead to a very costly and dangerous situation.

Solid Check Engine Light

• Dashboard Warning Light: There are many dashboard lights in your vehicle, each one indicates a problem or concept. Warning lights are not to be ignored, they can cause serious damage and can be very dangerous. A yellow check engine light means that you should get to a mechanic as fast as possible because that means that there are important engine problems that need to be fixed.
• Uneven Engine Noise: Hearing an uneven engine noise can be an easy fix, but it can indicate a serious problem with your engine.

 Your vehicle's exhaust system is designed to take care of toxic emissions your car produces, it can also reduce the amount of pollution your vehicle causes. If you see any of these symptoms please come in to get them fixed for your safety.

•  Engine Noise: If your vehicle's engine is louder-than-normal, hissing, or tapping, that’s a sign something is wrong with the exhaust system. 
• Power/ Acceleration Trouble: Loss of power while trying to accelerate after coming to a stop might indicate an exhaust leak. You may feel power loss as you drive your vehicle, this might show a problem with system leaks, spark plug problems, or clogged air, or fuel filters. 
• Low Mileage: Fixing your exhaust system is cheaper than buying more and more gas as your exhaust system is working harder!
• Engine Burning Smell: Your exhaust gasket may be leaking gases onto other parts of your car, meaning that you will smell a hot smell. It is better to get this checked out at our garage.
• Visible Exhaust Pipe Damage: Hitting a pothole or going over a bump too fast can cause damage to your exhaust pipe. There can be holes or bending happening to it, if visible damage to see it is better to take it to get fixed immediately
• Gas Smell: Your exhaust system pulls gas away from your vehicle, if you smell gasoline in your car your system is failing. This is very dangerous, don't ignore it and roll down your windows. Carbon monoxide can leak into your vehicle and poison you.

 The fuel system in your vehicle comprises components that deliver fuel from the tank to the engine. It is important to get the parts of the fuel system regularly.

• Whining Noise From The Fuel Tank: A loud whining noise can indicate a problem with your vehicle's fuel pump.  There may not be enough fuel, a damaged pump, or contaminated fuel inside the system. 
• Difficulty Starting: Fuel pumps can weaken over time. The lack of pressure from the weakened fuel pump might cause a little more difficult time with starting your vehicle.
• Engine Sputtering: If your engine sputters after going on high speeds back to normal speed it will indicate a problem with your fuel pump. This is when the fuel pump cannot provide a constant stream of fuel to the engine at the ideal pressure.
• Stalling At High Temperatures: If stalling happens frequently at high temperatures it is most likely caused by a problem with the fuel pump motor.  If stalling continues to occur with an increasing temperature gauge, it could indicate the fuel pump’s deterioration and need for replacement. 
• Other: Other symptoms like loss of power under stress, car surging, low gas mileage, and your vehicle not starting may indicate that you have a problem with your fuel system.

• A car lift kit elevates the vehicle further up off the ground, giving it more clearance and helping it gain better traction. This is particularly important for off-road vehicles, which can be damaged by rocks and other objects scraping against the vehicle's underside. Specific details on how to install a car lift kit vary from vehicle to vehicle.

Oil and filter changes are important because it helps to remove particles and sludge and keeps engines at peak condition. It also improves gas mileage. Without changing your oil and filters you can use up more fuel. Things like the check engine or oil change light, engine noise/ knocking, dark/ dirty oil, oil smell inside the car, exhaust smoke, and excessive mileage are all symptoms of filter or oil change.

 In motor vehicles, a power steering system helps drivers steer the vehicle by augmenting the steering effort needed to turn the steering wheel. This makes it easier to steer a vehicle. 

Hydraulic Power Steering System Components

• Power Steering Fluid: This is the hydraulic fluid that puts pressure on the piston in order to make turning easier for the driver.
• Pump: The power steering pump pressurizes the power steering fluid and causes it to be transferred to the rack and pinion set.
• Rack and Pinion: This is a unit of components that cause the steering input from the driver to result in the turning of the two front wheels.
• Fluid Reservoir: The power steering fluid is stored in a reservoir.

A transmission service is an act of flushing out old transmission fluid and putting in new fluid. Transmission services are regular procedures of car maintenance and if you see any of these symptoms, it is time to get a service.

• Transmission Fluid Leak: Leaking transmission fluid is a big sign of a transmission problem. The transmission fluid is red so it is easy to tell apart from other automotive fluids.

 A car tune-up is a type of preventive maintenance performed on a vehicle to ensure it continues to perform well. Replacing or cleaning spark plugs and other things of that nature are done to ensure a good performance from your vehicle. You need a tune-up if you come across these symptoms.

• Increased Difficulty Starting the Car: Difficulty starting your vehicle can be caused by numerous things like a weak battery or fuel pump. It is easier to get a tune-up if your vehicle will not start easily.
• Occasional or Frequent Stalling: If your vehicle stalls frequently it needs a tune-up.
• Knocking Sounds or Rough Idling/ Acceleration:  If your vehicle knocks while accelerating or when climbing hills, it's typically a sign of some engine inefficiency. Also, if the car seems to idle roughly or accelerate roughly, it may be that one or more spark plugs are failing to ignite. A tune-up is needed to fix those problems.
• Bad Gas Mileage: Lowered fuel efficiency is a sign that your car isn't burning fuel the way it should. This typically leads to faulty or dirty spark plugs or fuel injection issues. 
• No Signs of Trouble: Even if you see no signs of trouble, it is better to get a tune-up every  25,000 to 100,000 miles.
